Why this name Emile and Ida?
And not they are not not the first names of our children! But that of my parents who express the " retro ", mixed side of the brand and the association of which is unique! And very personal.
How many people works for Emile and Ida?
We are a team of 10 people in the complementary skills. Offices) are situated in France, in Paris region, to Croissy Sur Seine. We have a person in Portugal which manages and watches the production and the quality of products.
What inspires us?
At Emile and Ida, we adore the vintage, the former, romantic parts and the old laces more particularly for the girl and for the boys the 50s, the Rock spirit n roll and the color.

""As an architect and mother of 2 girls, I get inspired by both my work and my children to develop creative products for cuddling, playing and everyday use. I like those small moments of amazement which we often dont realize enough in our everyday routines. I wish to encourage storytelling by designing products that leave space for imagination and the freedom to create your own story around it.”
says Michaela Weisskirchner-Barfod founder and designer of FABELAB, who lives with her husband and two daughters in Copenhagen. With her background in architecture and scenography, previous work experience with international architects and the Copenhagen Royal Theatre, Michaela combines spacial principles and storytelling into functional and inspiring products.

FABELAB believes in taking responsible actions regarding production and following a zero waste philosophy that encourages the redesign of resources. For example, when we designed our Little Bird Mobiles, we saw the opportunity to make them from the cut-offs of our blankets – this way all material can be used and nothing goes to waste.
We will participate in social projects, recently we have donated our blankets to the Danish organisation Mødrehjælpen who supports families in crises.
This way we can tell stories about other people, other cultures and much more.
FERM LIVING
Created in 2005 by Trine Andersen, Ferm Living is a Danish company of furniture and interior design. The collection for child Ferm Living is just like the brand, design and graphic. We find the inheritance and the spirit of the Scandinavian design in the creations Ferm Living.
